Who is Deep North?

Bjoern is the CEO and board member of Deep North, a Computer Vision AI software company with the aim to fully realize the transformative potential of AI in the physical world so businesses can deliver better, safer, and more exceptional customer experiences. Bjoern serves on the board of Pro Glove, a German smart wearable scanner solutions company, advises Nordic Capital, a leading European private Equity company, as well as Intelligence Node, a real time price intelligence platform. Bjoern was previously the President of Sensormatic Solutions, a $1bn award winning IoT company and global provider of retail performance solutions, Vice President, and General Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services, and held several leadership position at Electronic Data Systems across the world. Bjoern holds a dual master’s degree in computer science and business administration from the University of Darmstadt, Germany.

Abhijit has led the development of our platform and algorithms and has been instrumental in building Deep North’s patent portfolio, which presently includes more than 20 issued and pending patents. Abhijit has over 2 decades of experience in driving product development and data analytics in entrepreneurial and leadership roles. Prior to Deep North, he was heading BSS platform for Redknee Inc. At Virgin Mobile, Abhijit led engineering of Virgin Mobile’s data analytics platform. Prior to Virgin Mobile, he led product development at Oracle. Abhijit holds dual Master’s in Systems Engineering and Operations Research as well as Mathematics and Computer Science from Ohio University.

Andrew Preston is the CFO of Deep North. Prior to joining Deep North as its CFO, Andrew was the CFO at VantIQ and has held C-Level roles at two public companies and six private tier-one venture-backed companies where he managed the sale of four companies to large public companies and raised over $90 million of equity and debt. Andrew graduated with honors from Lehigh University with a degree in Business and Economics and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Simon Reed is the Vice President of Sales for the EMEA region, bringing over two decades of expertise in Sales, IT and Security Technology within Retail and Smart City sectors. With a strong history of leadership, including Vice President and Senior Strategic positions in global security organisations, Simon's work has spanned Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Simon's recent endeavors focus on pioneering the implementation of Computer Vision/AI solutions, offering expert advice on Business Intelligence and Loss Prevention Strategies.

Lisa Cooper is the Vice President of Sales in the US and has over 30 years of sales experience working with Fortune 500 companies. Most recently she had been working as part of the retail security/loss prevention sales team at Sensormatic Solutions. She has a BSBA in Marketing from The Ohio State University and an MBA in Executive Administration from Ashland University.

Jeff Hahn is the Vice President of Operations at Deep North. Leveraging a customer-centric mindset and strategic insight, he is committed to helping customers achieve their desired outcomes while at the same time managing our 7 by 24 operations to support our global customers’ needs. Prior to joining Deep North, Jeff led teams responsible for deploying autonomous robots to over 600 retail locations and integrating AI solutions into existing enterprise workflows.

Scott oversees Deep North’s Product Management team, providing our customers with insights that increase profitability and enhance the customer experience. Prior to joining Deep North, Scott spent the last five years leading a global product portfolio team focusing on products and services that enhance and personalize the shopper journey for retailers and retail property owners. His experience includes strategic planning and execution for products and brands, solution life cycle management and development of partnership ecosystems. Scott is a Pragmatic Certified Product Master, University of Notre Dame Master of Business Administration, and University of Washington Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology.

Vanessa is a Senior Systems Administrator working on IT infrastructure & cloud services at Deep North. Vanessa graduated from CSU East Bay with a degree in Mathematics.

John is an Information Technology Administrator focused on the deployment and testing of Deep North software. John studied at California State University in Sacramento.

Paolo Banzona is a Senior System Administrator at Deep North responsible for network and systems infrastructure. Paolo has a B.S. in Computer Science from De La Salle University.

Darrel Daquigan is a Software Engineer with the data analysis team at Deep North. He primarily designs, develops, and maintains APIs that bridge the backend database to the front-end developers. Darrel has a B.S.in Computer Science from San Francisco State University.

Aditya is a Software Engineer in Applied Machine Learning working in a cross-functional capacity to develop, design and improve Deep North's platofrm. Aditya holds a B.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology and M.S in ECE from Boston University, College of Engineering.

Prashanth is a Program Manager of Customer Success at Deep North focusing on enhancing customer's platform experience. Prashanth holds a B.S. in Computer Science from B.M.S College of Engineering.

Robert is a Software Engineer at Deep North working on customer dashboard development. Robert holds an M.S degree from Sam Houston State University.

Rohit Sreedhar is a Software Engineer at Deep North responsible for the development of microservices and utilities of Deep North's platform. Rohit has M.S. in Electrical & Computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Sharath Tunuguntla is a Software Engineer at Deep North developing products and enhancing computer vision capabilities of Deep North's platform. Sharath holds a M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from CSU Fort Collins.

Sneha Uike is Software Engineer at Deep North where she works on designing, developing and debugging Deep North's dashboards. She holds Master’s degree in Computer Science.

Scott Knudsen has 20 years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail industries, providing strategic consulting on marketing strategy, analytics and retail execution for global CPG manufacturers and retailers. Scott has extensive experience leading IR and AI programs for global customers in the retail space, as well as in building and managing Customer Success organizations. Scott leads the Deep North Customer Success team, helping customers to achieve success and realize business value on our platform products.

Ricardo Pizzatto is the VP of Sales for the UK, Europe and Latam at Deep North, responsible for leading sales and business development across these regions. Ricardo has over 10 years’ experience in SaaS Enterprise solutions and B2B technology sales and operations, working across a variety of sectors including retail, media and financial services. Ricardo holds a law degree as well as an MSc in International Business from the University of London.

David DeSantis has over 20 years of experience being a finance executive and corporate controller. Previously he was the Head of Accounting, Finance Operations and FP&A at Sonitum – a cloud hearing enhancement company. Prior to that he was with a successful Venture Capital Firm where he assisted four of their start-up companies with their Finance and Accounting needs.

Vijai works as part of customer success team and has got more than 15+ years of solid experience in Account management with Global companies.
